Author: Just Angel J.

Born Maggiel Angelica Williams,, Angel is a Poet, Radio Personality, and Spoken word artist and also a New Orleans Native. Her parents had a rough relationship her father a bussiness man died when she was only 3 yrs old and her mother a genuis with a drug problem which caused her children to be placed in foster care. Angel one of six kids grew up with only one of her siblings. A brother named Ronald who she cared for and loved dearly. Ronald met an untimely death on Aug.29 during Hurricane Katrina only 7 days after his 22nd Birthday. Her troubled past as well as her unusual success in writing is what made her into the writer she is today. Mixing pleasure with painful memories is her formula to success when she wants to win over her readers. Writing came as easy as breathing for this poet considering that her mother is an ancomplished writer herself. But as the years went on her writing turned into rambling and her drug addition proved fatal to the young mothers career. Angel sets out to distance herself from that future by taking her pain and turning it into a work of art. Not wanting or having the desire of being a victim she writes pieces like Me, Quick, and Free just to name a few. Her poetic style is simple she just dosent have one," basically I have a thought and I put it on paper" she says,,,sounds easier said then done. That's just the genius behind this writer she writes to clear her mind and heart that's it. As she creates these works of art she one day hopes to have millions reading her work just like her idol Maya Angelou. A mother of 4 and a wife Angel says,, " I don't want fame I just want to know my dreams of being a writer is possible to get my story out there to show other people like me that anything is possible".
